National Instruments

Impress a Teacher. Show Your Work.

How do you talk to teachers about a new product for high school science and engineering classroom? They're already short on time and attention. So when National Instruments brought its LabVIEW engineering software to the education market, they needed a sure way to cut through the noise.

Teachers hear enough marketing and product pitches in a week. They don't respond to big promises. But if we help them do their job better today, they’ll listen to new ideas. That’s exactly what National Instruments and Smith & Robot did by inventing K12Lab.

K12Lab is a purpose-built sub-brand of National Instruments, dedicated to publishing state-of-the art lesson plans and classroom techniques. By offering plain talk and ready-to-use classroom resources, we convert them to National Instruments fans before they even begin to consider products.

K12Lab continues to develop as the brand, and voice, that National Instruments uses to approach educators. Through email, events, sales presentations and the site, we're showing that National Instruments shares a genuine passion for teaching science and engineering.
